1. Nail Analysis & Powder Manicure Consultation
We’ll start with a consultation discussing your desired nail color, nail length and nail shape. After a careful analysis of your current nails and condition, our nail technician will give recommendations, and assist you in your nail goals!
2. Nail Cleaning and Polish Removal
We’ll start with using gentle acetone to remove any old nail polish, and tools to remove any nail elements and embellishments. This will start our foundation in creating seamless strokes and finishes.
3. Nail Shaping and Filing
Our technician will then go ahead and cut the nail based on your desired length and shape. From there, we’ll use a nail file to create a seamless shape from stiletto to coffin, or almond to square. Finally, we’ll buff out your nails to make sure the powder gel adheres to them.
4. Nail Dehydrator and Base Coat
To ensure the powder lasts, we’ll apply either a dehydrator or brush the nails with a bit of alcohol to remove any oils. A base coat is then applied to help with the bonding.
5. Color Powder Application
Your nails are dipped into a colored powder and are brushed to remove any excess. One to two more dips of the colored powder are done depending on how opaque you would like the nails to be!
6. Activator Application for Powder Nails
After applying nail powder, we’ll use a special activator solution to harden and seal the powder, ensuring lasting results. We’ll let your nails air-dry for a few minutes.
7. Sheer Pink or Nude Application
To enhance the natural French manicure look, a layer of either sheer pink or nude powder is applied.
8. French Tip Gel Application
Our nail technician will then carefully paint the signature French white tips with white dip powder. After precise application, we’ll cure it under the lamp for perfect French tips.
9. Powder Manicure Activator
Our technicians will then brush activator liquid onto the nails to harden and cure the dip powder layers. This also helps the French tips be more durable and chip-resistant.
10. Powder Manicure Top Coat
Our technicians will then file and refine your nails for a seamless look. Finally, a top coat, whether glossy or matte, is applied to seal everything together for a durable finish.
11. Manicure Final Touches
Enjoy your new and fresh powder manicure with tips! Our technicians will examine your nails one final time, make sure they are to your desired liking, and finally add cuticle oil/lotion to your hands to prevent dryness and nourish the nails.
