1. Hair Consultation & Wig Assessment
We’ll start with a consultation discussing your desired color, preferences in hair length, volume, and other elements. After a careful analysis of your current hair, our hair stylists will give recommendations, and assist you in the most suitable wig for you and your look.
2. Shampoo and Scalp Cleansing (Optional)
To make sure your wig is a clean canvas ready for a haircut, we recommend shampooing and cleansing it to remove any oils or dirt. Conditioner is also avoided in this step so that pigment attaches to the hair easily.
3. Hair Coloring and Tools Preparation
Your hair stylist(s) will start gathering the necessary tools for a seamless and hassle-free process. Depending on the nature of the wig (human hair or synthetic), the dye(s) will be carefully selected and adjusted accordingly.
4. Wig Hair Sectioning
To avoid patchiness and create a more even, seamless color, we’ll section out the wig for even saturation and precision around the part lines.
5. Wig Coloring Application
Depending on the nature of the wig (human hair or synthetic), the application process will also look a little different. Our stylists will start applying the color based on the consultation. For human hair, we may use traditional brushes and foils. For synthetics, we’ll use sprays, pigments, and airbrushing tools.
6. Processing Time
Our stylists will monitor and check the wig frequently to prevent over-darkening and uneven absorption. Time may depend on the nature of the wig as human hair wigs process much faster.
7. Rinsing and Conditioning
After the allotted time, the wig is gently rinsed under cold water until the water runs clear. A wig-safe conditioner or mask is then used for softness and natural feel.
8. Wig Coloring Finishing Touches
Our hairstylist will finally blow dry your hair or air dry depending on hair type. We’ll be able to see the final color and adjust if necessary. And you’re done – enjoy your new ‘do and your new color!
