You’ll be thrilled visiting us for expert color correction to fix your hair’s brassiness, unevenness, and damage! We aim to exceed your expectations in every detail of this restorative and protective procedure. Find out what’s included in the Hair Color Correction service at Larisa’s Salon.
1. In-Depth Hair Consultation
We’ll start with an in-depth discussion regarding your hair type and history. We’ll go over hair issues such as brassiness, and the plan to get your desired result. Creating a customized strategy with timing, expectations, etc. will make the process go smoother.
2. Shampoo and Scalp Cleansing
To make sure your hair is a clean canvas, we recommend shampooing and cleansing the scalp. We’ll use one of our recommended products to gently clarify your hair removing any dirt and oils.
3. Hair Formulas and Tools Preparation
Your hair stylist(s) will start gathering the necessary tools for a seamless and hassle-free process including lightener, color remover, etc.
4. Color Remover/Lightening Process (Optional)
Depending on what was done to your hair, we’ll apply color remover to remove any unwanted pigments or deepen sections without damaging your hair.
5. Neutralizing Brassiness/Unwanted Tones
Once lifted or the tones are removed, we’ll examine your hair and apply the appropriate toner or corrective formula to neutralize the brassiness/remove tones.
6. Missing Pigment Replacement or Filler (If Darkening Hair)
For color-longevity and natural-looking results, we’ll apply a “filler” to replace any underlying pigment if we’re going darker in color. This makes sure that the color applies evenly and doesn’t look muddy or green.
7. Color Corrector Application
We’ll then formulate the desired color based on level and tone. Applying from roots to end ensures even coverage and balance of colors.
8. Processing Time and Monitoring
So as not to degrade hair integrity, we’ll constantly monitor your hair as it processes. Should hair reach proper tone, our hair stylists will adjust accordingly. Processing times may vary depending on what was needed to be done.
9. Hair Rinsing, Conditioning and Repair
Once the color corrector has done its magic, we’ll rinse your hair with a moisturizing mask to restore strength back to your hair. Conditioner is then applied afterward with color-safe benefits to keep and lock in tone.
10. Evaluation
After rinsing and treatments, we’ll blow dry your hair until it’s completely dry and examine your hair. We’ll discuss how the process went, if another adjustment is needed such as a second toner, and ensure the color looks even and dimensional.
11. Aftercare Maintenance
Because of the chemical stress to your hair, before your leave, our hair stylists will go over any recommended products to your hair, maintenance needs, and a follow-up appointment if needed. Now go out there and feel confident in your hair!
