Ombré is when a hairstylist uses the balayage technique to create a color contrast that begins darkest at the roots, blends into a rich medium shade towards the middle, and finishes with the lightest parts at the ends of the hair. 1. Consultation & Color Planning
We’ll start with a consultation discussing your desired ombre color, hair goals, and other elements. After a careful analysis of your current hair history and condition, our hair stylists will give recommendations, and assist you in the most suitable shades and techniques from subtle to more dramatic!
2. Hair Preparation
Your hair stylist(s) will start gathering the necessary tools, solutions, and protection gear for a seamless and hassle-free process. They will also start sectioning out your hair and mixing the ombre lightener and developer to provide an easy and balanced application all over.
3. Lightener Application
To achieve a natural gradient, we will focus on your mid-length down to the ends for a seamless look. We will then feather the strokes upward for a natural ombre transition from light to dark.
4. Processing Time
Our hairstylists will check to see if the desired brighteness is achieved and make sure the hair is not over-processed. If desired brightness is not reached, we’ll keep it in for a little longer making sure your hair isn’t uneven and damaged in the process.
5. Shampoo Rinse and Wash
Once the brightness is achieved, we’ll go ahead and start rinsing your hair to remove any excess lightener. Our gentle color-safe shampoo will be used all over massaging the scalp to make sure there is no residue left.
6. Toner or Gloss
After shampooing, we’ll apply a toner to neutralize any possible brassiness in the hair. This will help keep a natural look and enhance the shine and tone of your new Ombre look.
7. Conditioning Treatment
We’ll finish off your new Ombre look with a deep leave-in conditioning treatment to repair and hydrate the hair. This will also restore strength and silkiness after using the lightener.
